Public & Press

A main task is the communication of our research results with the international scientific community. This includes publication in established (peer reviewed) journals, contributions at conferences as well as support in teaching and training.
The organization of symposia and workshops is also a central element of scientific communication (see Events).

In addition, we would like to communicate the relevance and content of our research to the interested public.

In this context, we are glad to invite the public to guided tours of the institute or public events such as the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften, GreenDay or Girls' Day; internships are available for school students.
Since 2008, the institute has also offered an annual special prize for the winners of the Jugend forscht competition. Each year, the prize winners spend three weeks at the institute in the summer or fall.
